Tolerance Music and Lotion are proud to announce the release of “Voodoo Priestesses & Interplanetary Craft”

2007 saw big changes in the Lotion camp, with a new line-up, new tunes, and the new record Voodoo being hammered into shape under the guidance of Pete Pratt at Blueroom Studios.

Lotion shall be pleased to serve you a unique blend of sex, anger, catharsis and mystery; all delivered to you at high speeds and higher volumes via their sledgehammer live show combining industrial exorcism with pure organic brutality.

This band are fast gaining a reputation for delivering one of the most intense and physical live shows around.

The last few months have seen a series of blistering live shows across the country, capped off by the Lotion machine being the first band to record live in session for the new "Radio One 'Introducing'" show.

» 17th May 2007
The dates have now been set for Lotion's return to the studio. The lads will be recording on 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th of June with Pete at his 'Blueroom Studio'.

Expect at least 4 brand new tracks shortly after! We'll keep y'all posted as to how things are progressing, until then, peace out!!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!!

Greetings! Some news for y'all! Firstly, we have now parted ways, amicably, with long-time noise master 'Moose' as he is off to pastures new. We would like to say a big thanks to him for all his efforts, and wish him all the breast in his new ventures.

Have no fear though, another riff-master has stepped into the breach and things are going pretty damn sweet. Please welcome, of ex-zerotonin/Supermasters fame....Ringmeat!

Also, pre-production on the new tracks is now complete and we will be heading back to the studio to record these slabs of noise very soon. We have been previewing these tracks live, and we're glad to say they have been very well received!

Thats yer lot for now...word!

» 12th March 2007
So, yes, Lotion have started pre-production for our next recording. It'll most likely consist of three songs, plus lots of samples of Marty making obscene noises.

We're using Blue Room Studio with Pete at the helm.

And so we will service you again soon with our liquid love.

zm xx

ZohmyGodz!!11 We haven't updated our website in ages. Bad us. We've been fairly busy, gigging and wrecking the place. Anyway, we're just letting y'all know that Lotion are heading to Blue Room studios this Sunday to record a live practice. The purpose of this recording is to give us a chance to better hear, analyse and discuss these excellent new tracks we've been cooking up. And shortly after that we shall unleash the MIGHTY WRATH of Lotion E.P. PART DEUX!

Riff-ilicious!

A brand new version of Beaufort Scale is now up in the music section. Courtesy of Doctor Lilt (aka Marty's electronic side project), it's a whole new take on the original. Firstly it's acoustic, secondly the feel of the song and the guitar parts are almost entirely different. Lastly, there has been more work on the samples and vocal side of things. Ultimately it can only be called an Acoustic Remix, as it is a whole re-working of the original. Sure why not give it a whirl...

Howdy!
Just a quick update, the lads will be returning to the studio very soon, to record a bitchin' new track, and it will be available on this site to download for free!

The track is quite different from the other tracks such as 'Beaufort Scale', but dont worry, its totally rawkin! We'll keep y'all posted, but it will be sooner rather than later!

Word!

Shocked and with a little bit of 'cheek', Lotion accepted their place as winners of The JD Unsigned Set, Battle Of The Bands Competition on Wednesday 6th December which took place in The Limelight, Belfast!

This means we will be in with a chance to bring our 'thrilling musical freak show' to the final heat of the competition, held in London.

The band wants to thank everyone who's come to our shows and helped the Lotion machine build up it's 'LotionMotion'(... ARGHHH) We wouldn't be doing this without you. Well perhaps we would, but there probably wouldn't be as much violence and alcohol involved... Yea, you know what we mean... ummm...

There's a pretty neat review of the night's events at www.culturenorthernireland.org and some marvellous photos from Adam Mc Causland on flickr, see Adam's photeys! and I believe there are even more fun frolicing fotos coming soon too.

How Riff-tack-ular is that?!

A moment of your time if we may? The next batch of LOTION tunes are now well under way, and are shaping up to be pretty god damn rawking! The Lotion lads will be keeping their heads down over the next few weeks, to focus on this new material, so no shows for the next few weeks!

The new songs will however, be debuted at the next show:

Also, the three track demo is being pressed in early October, and this will coincide with a new rigorous gigging schedule. At present, the Lotion guys are also putting plans in place for a short UK tour for early 2007, so keep an eye on the gigs section for details!

Lotion become Hollywood stars as lead singer Marty becomes the world's first full-face transplant patient and performs a charity gig with his new face, that of Snakes On a Plane and Pulp Fiction star Samuel L. Jackson.
Keanu Reeves was said to be impressed by the band's image and eco-friendly lyrics, also by their stylish evening dress.
Mr Reeves was also said to be considering a face-transplant with Lotion guitarist Sean. Sean is reputedly "not at all sure about that there".

Mr Jackson could not be reached for comment, largely due to having Marty's face and sure no-one in Hollywood knows what he looks like anyway.
